Vernon Downtown Murals

One of many murals found through-out the City. This one, across from City Hall, depicting the diverse cultural make-up of the area.

A tour of the Vernon downtown area will quickly reveal some very unique murals, giving us a glimpse into Vernon’s colorful past.

The arrival of the train in the valley brought with it increased growth and prosperity to an already bustling agricultural beginning.

The Canadian Oxford dictionary defines mural as “as a painting executed on a wall.”

Sometimes it’s hard to see where the mural ends and the real world begins.

From the vision and the brushes of these amazing artists, life in our community is immortalized.

The collective efforts of business, and government have made it possible for artists to offer us a tour of twenty-six distinct murals celebrating the pioneer spirit of this unique area.
